Desire for places of peace and relaxation
A small series of pavilions, conceived as spaces of silence, demonstrate the transformative power of wood as a material that not only provides warmth and comfort, but also creates a profound connection with nature.
Wood, a material that has been used in construction for thousands of years, is characterised by its versatility and sustainable properties. In these pavilions, it serves as the main element that not only enriches the structures aesthetically, but also promotes a sense of calm and security. The use of wood emphasises our need for natural materials that are able to create an atmosphere of relaxation and well-being.
Large windows open up the rooms to the landscape but gently block out the outside world, creating a bridge between inside and outside. The thoughtful placement and orientation of the pavilions maximises natural light and promotes a meditative mood that invites people to linger and reflect.
The Pavilions of Silence are a call to contemplation, an appreciation of stillness and a return to a life that is in harmony with nature and ourselves.
